Steve Gallanter: Community Involvement Opportunities with the Fenway Civic Association

Dedicated to his community, Steve Gallanter belongs to the Fenway Civic Association, a group that provides networking opportunities to individuals in the neighborhood involved with various preservation initiatives.

The Fenway Civic Association provides several different avenues for involvement, including the Fenway Young Professionals group. Through this group, young individuals who live or work in the Fenway gather at local restaurants to discuss issues impacting the community and build stronger relationships with each other. Individuals interested in joining the group can visit FenwayCivic.org to learn about upcoming meetings.

The Fenway Civic Association also includes Friends of Ramler Park, a group that ensures the continued beauty of the Dorothy & David Ramler Park, located on Peterborough Street. Friends of Ramler Park volunteers maintain the park’s gardens and keep it in an ideal condition to host concerts and other events throughout the summer. In addition, the group raises funds for the park’s maintenance. The park remains one of the central reprieves from city life in the Fenway. Visitors enjoy gorgeous gardens, fountains, benches, and arbors.
